The CCHC Foundation Funds
CCHC physicians and staff care for 40,000 patients annually and see significant need among their patients every day. There is a significant amount of financial need, but there is also the need to build educational awareness and literacy of diseases such as diabetes, stroke and cancer. The CCHC Foundation addresses the emotional needs of patients and helps sustain support groups focusing on exercise, art therapy and counseling.
The CCHC Foundation General Fund ensures those patients who are in financial need receive assistance and to improve the overall health of the community through various programs and initiatives.
The General Fund:
The General Fund provides funds for community outreach and education with special emphasis on programs focusing on heart disease, stroke and diabetes. Through the General Fund, The CCHC Foundation seeks and receives support from foundations and corporations for programs such as Diabetes Education as well as Smoking Prevention and Cessation. These grants combined with generous gifts from donors enable The CCHC Foundation to expand its programs to address the health care needs of patients living in Craven, Pamlico, Beaufort, Onslow and Jones Counties. Support groups for patients suffering from various illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease and stroke have been established with assistance from The CCHC Foundation. A gift to the General Fund will support these impactful programs making a difference in the lives of many residing in eastern North Carolina.
